Overcome self-doubt, no one is perfect. Vulnerability is something most of us shy away from to not have our feelings judged or not being accepted for how we look at it. This was a story I personally didn’t venture much into as they felt very harsh for my younger self to experience. However, when the real world got serious, I saw my struggle patterns repeat and was better equipped, learned and much more resilient.

This is a narration of an incident with my dad on the seashore of a pilgrimage place called Vailankanni in India. I loved and still have a huge obsession for playing in the sea. You can listen in to the YouTube video shared here to know the story.

Summarizing the Lessons Learnt from this incident:

  • The nature is all powerful, never play with it. No matter how good a swimmer you are you cannot face the fury of the Ocean.
  • I asked you to step deeper into the ocean, to which you obliged and joined me. You can always choose to say NO.
  • I praised how good a swimmer you are and asked you to swim, and you started swimming. Many jealous or foolish people will give you guidance in your life which may not be to your slightest good.
  • Have your own authentic thoughts and thinking.
  • You were sinking and this sea is new to me as well, I joining you in the drowning would only have aggravated the situation. The people who you trust the most will be the ones to break your heart the most. Do not attach so much expectations to one person.
  • You were the one sinking but you expected me to seek help. When in trouble seek help immediately, without hesitating, before it is too late; such that, nobody can help you.
  • Life will surprise you.
  • Most of the times it will be the strangers who will lend you a helping hand to save you, then the people you already know and trust.

The guy who saved me and put me to the shore was a local fisherman. He had a food stall put on the sea side. We had amazing sea food – crabs and fishes 🤗

We shared this incident about 2 months later on a bright Sunday to my mom, so that the trip is not hindered – that was my request.

And the cycle is complete 😅

Life is Beautiful ✨
